STEWARDSHIP ASSISTANCE REQUIRED

We have in the past  had  roof leaks  which create  water  damage to the ceilings below.  We have recently had repairs done to mend  these leaks; however, there is one type of leak we cannot repair.

It is inevitable with our church’s beautiful tree environment that leaves and other vegetation will collect on the roof.  During heavy rains, this vegetation is pulled to the roof drains, causing water to back up on the flat portions of the roof.  It can become several inches deep at which point it backs up under the flashing and leaks into the church.

We need a volunteer(s) to assist in cleaning the vegetation from the roof about 4 times per year.  This would not include winter months.  Candidates should be comfortable with ladders and heights.  The typical cleanup (with one person) only takes about an hour of roof time, and all the tools you will need  will be supplied.

Stewardship is a responsibility of all parishioners in the form of Time, Talent and Treasury.  Here is an appropriate way to share some of your time and reduce the maintenance costs of the parish.
