MUSIC SCHEDULES
Music Ministry
The primary function of the Pastoral Musician is to be rooted in the Gospel and in prayer, who leads the singing assembly in prayer through celebration, preparation, and personal ministry.
The Pastoral Musician, in cooperation and with the assistance of all the parish ministers, supports the Gospel message through song and prayer, challenging the assembly to live their faith more fully.
The Pastoral Musician is any individual called by their baptismal promises to serve God and community with the gifts they have received to proclaim the Kingdom of God.
Who:
Adult Music Ministers are from the parish Grades 9 to Adult, who lead the assembly through Psalms, litanies, and hymns at the weekend liturgies.
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals are held on Thursdays throughout the year from September through Pentecost Sunday and generally run from 7:30 - 9:00 pm.
Requirements:
Attendance
Attendregular rehearsals and other choir events throughout the year.
Participation in weekend Liturgies throughout the year (generally September through Pentecost)
Ability
The ablity to sing in tune and along with others.
The abilityto be able to pray freely with others, including the congregation.
Audition
There is no audition for new members required.
Instrumentalists are heartily welcome!
